ASQ Rochester is excited for 2026!!!
We held an in-person kickoff meeting at Jeremiahs on January 13th with 11 people attending, and a following executive committee meeting outlining the plan for 2026!
The section’s activities are organized into 8 areas, that when plotted along a calendar represent “swim lanes”.

Operations – Executive Committee responsible for running the section.

Membership – Activities providing benefits and encouraging members

Program – Dinner meetings and virtual programs sharing knowledge

Philanthropic – Support for S.T.E.M programs and scholarships

Conference – Delivering a fall conference.

Student Chapter – Forming a Student Chapter at RIT
Eric Schaeffer has agreed to serve as Vice Chair and will be supporting the operations.
Our Rochester Section is supporting 8 local FIRST Robotic Teams!
The competition on March 13th and 14th at the RIT Field house will host 56 teams coming as far away as Hawaii, Tiapei China, Chicago, Ohio and Quebec.

ASQ Rochester is initiating an ASQ Student Chapter at RIT!!!
Our section is proud to support Datafest 2026!!! ASA DataFest is an annual nationwide competition sponsored by the American Statistical Society for undergraduates with the goal of analyzing real-world big data. RIT will be hosting the local event and will have participants from RIT, UofR, Brockport, St. John Fisher, Roberts Wesleyan, MCC and other colleges. These types of events fit in nicely with ASQ Rochester’s mission and vision.
